Unable to use the "Link Steam Account" option in Apex Legends

    Hi, everyone,

    It seems that the "Link Steam Account" option in Apex is still not working. That being said, it seems that it is not needed. All you need to do is download the game in Steam, start it (you will be prompted to input your EA credentials) and it will log you in just fine and all of your settings and progress will be imported. Once connected, the game will not prompt you to use your EA credentials ever again. The only "downside" (if I can call it that) is that your in-game name is automatically changed to be the same as your Steam name. I removed Origin a couple of hours ago (along with Apex Legends; there are two separate entries in the Control Panel, however, the icons and installation dates differ), so I cannot test further, but the description I provided above should be sufficient for everyone that wants to try running Apex Legends through Steam

      @sakradko So I would have to download the game again on steam instead of Origin?

        It seems so, as I was not able to transfer my Origin installation onto Steam and then verifying my files via the repair option, so I had to download the entire game again.

      but why would i want to install it twice?

        I had both installed at the same time without any problems so it should be a quick fix. Choose one.

        I think switching from platform can fk up your clan thing though and throw you out of the clan.
