I'll get this reported as a bug then!
In the meantime, what I meant about "under some sort of chat restriction", is that I know that both Xbox and PlayStation will suspend voice and text chat for chat violations.
So if you were recently suspended from being able to use the voice and/or text chat by PlayStation, that sadly isn't something that can be lifted or fixed by EA/Respawn.

When Respawn looks into the issue themselves, I'm sure they'll be looking into your account as well, (though, they won't be able to see anything imposed by PlayStation).
