Why is my PC volume turning down to 17 when I play Apex?

When I play Apex, my computer volume goes down to 17 until I tab out of the game. I know it's an apex issue because it only happens with this game. I can't place when it started happening, but it has been quite a while. I have reinstalled the game and gone through lots of windows settings linked to the game and I cannot figure out what is going on. Please help me.
