‎Battlefield 2042 PC Pre-Order Bonuses to linked PSN Account‎ Crossover

I bought the PC pre-order with ultimate package, however I plan to buy the physical disc for PS5. My question is, will the PC pre-order content bonus content carry over to our linked EA origin ps5 account or must we also buy the ultimate ps5 package again for ps5 to enjoy the solider skins?  This game is meant to support cross progression so I am assuming PC purchase pre order bonus carries over to ps5. We should not have to double pay, right?

Please can someone clarify.

Thanks

  • @B1ooDsh0t I've ended up buying all previous BF games on both PC and PlayStation and the progression and unlocks have never transferred over. Sadly I don't expect they will in 2042 either.
Would be good if they did since they do in other games like COD, Fortnite and others. I doubt it though as other EA games and services don't transfer across whether your accounts are linked or not.

Well previously Battlefield titles didn't support this:

    Cross-progression and cross-commerce

Alongside cross-play we’re also building cross-progression and cross-commerce for Battlefield 2042, which will be shared across all platforms and travel with you wherever you go. For example, your unlocked progress and purchases in your PlayStation® copy of the game will carry over onto the Xbox or PC version, and vice versa*.

    To answer the question:

It depends how these things will be handled, if they are things you can obtain in the store front outsite of Battlefield 2042 I suppose you can not crossover them but if they require some sort of in-app purchase then it can be possible that you are able to take it over.

@CloudMcRipInteresting indeed. If that's defo confirmed I might do the same then. Gold edition on one platform, standard on the other. Helps to solve my platform dilemma 😅

  • @B1ooDsh0tAs long as the platform accounts are linked to your EA account, cross-progression is confirmed.

Well, as it's been confirmed that Battlefield 2042 supports platform crossover for player stats, progress ect. i would also say that all your unlocks in general will transfer to other platforms as it's actually also a usual unlocked item.

As long as all the ID's you play with on those platforms, are linked to the same EA ID you pre-ordered with.

    Greets,

First answer: My question is, will the PC pre-order content bonus content carry over to our linked EA origin ps5 account or must we also buy the ultimate ps5 package again for ps5 to enjoy the solider skins?
    Yes, it will carry over.

Second answer: This game is meant to support cross progression so I am assuming PC purchase pre order bonus carries over to ps5. We should not have to double pay, right?
No. Unless you prefer to have multiple versions across different platforms.

  • Bought ultimate on series X and gold edition on PS5 with the same EA account linked but ultimate edition items do not show up when starting the gold edition on ps5.

however I bought the gold edition on a different account on the same PS5 then the account I’m playing on. It also misses the gold edition preorder items doing it this way. So could be related to “sharing” the game on the same console but not having it bought on the account linked to the same EA account as on Xbox.

  • I bought the ultimate edition for ps5 and  regular edtion for pc   the ultilmate edition skins arent showing up on my pc verison
