If the 128 player matches are removed from BF2042, I will put this game down for good. This is one of the main reasons that I purchased BF2042. No matter the player count if there are no organized teams. Random matches will always be a one sided mess. I have seen this from PS3 when Battlefield games were only 24 players all of the way to now.
Go ahead and make the maps smaller with more cover, but the only way to truly improve match quality is to create a ranked area for friends that squad up and platoons. Put the people that want to play together with others and use teamwork to win on the same teams since organized play for most is a dream. A match making environment that accomplishes this is the next best thing. 128 pleyes is the perfect server environment for it.
If they scale the game, they need to scale the map (what they did) and scale the objective ammount (what they not did)
