- Gurz1019_MP1 year agoSeasoned Hotshot@Man_iLoveFishing What is wrong with such a vehicle that can be absolutely avoided in any situation? Perhaps the NBs and missiles are not being hit abnormally large, but the missiles are hitting properly on the server or on the client of the player who fired the TGM. With that in mind, don't be fooled by the missile's position on your client and be able to avoid the missile.
Also, not to change the subject, but if NBs should respawn fast and kill, then every other vehicle should respawn fast as well, and that's perfectly fine, right? - Man_iLoveFishing1 year agoSeasoned Ace
The subject is not nb here, yes i do play it a lot. I dont need to be either fooled. Its straight bs on my screen. Easy alt f4.
But questioning whats right and wrong, tell me, how much it hurts you if vehicle spawns 15 seconds earlier?

The longer the wait the better for vehicles.
- Lady_One1 year agoNew AceIf vehicle spawns were to be changed, I'd probably like to see TF2's spawn wave system added to vehicles. Basically, with normal spawns, players would dribble in 1 by 1 and die 1 by 1 when fighting the whole enemy team (players want to start playing ASAP, even if they're just throwing themselves at the enemy). So, TF2 will increase or reduce player spawn times, so that they all spawn at the same time and come out together instead of 1 by 1, giving them a better fighting chance.
In 2042, the same issue can be seen with Jets and Wildcats to an extent. These vehicles have a high likelyhood of being completely wiped by the enemy at the start of a match. Due to the nature of players wanting to spawn in a vehicle ASAP, the wiped vehicles will then dribble in 1 by 1 and get killed 1 by 1. Most ground vehicles will survive long enough for this to not be an issue for them, whereas jets can die too fast and wildcats take a while to respawn. That being said, all vehicles can get wiped.
Because 2042 doesn't show the vehicle respawn times, the game can easily make a respawning-in-progress vehicle that died a while ago take 1 minute longer and reduce the time for a more recently destroyed vehicle, so that the vehicles can spawn as a wave.
Delaying the respawns into waves will (depending on how it's done) have the benefit of complete team vehicle wipes lasting longer while also not semi-permanently crippling said team with tanks coming in 1 by 1.
Remember the Golmud Railway train? Whichever team captured it at the start of the round would win the game. I think this is a similar case. - UP_Hawxxeye1 year agoLegend
My general problem with vehicles in 2042 is how it feels like I do not get to spend enough time in them. Compared to previous BF games
The slots that are too few for the team size
The number of modes that lack most of the vehicles altogether.
The Punishment timer that tries to block you from respawning on the same vehicle category before some rando can.
For the most of the games lifecycle most of the infantry could carry enough firepower to solo a tank... and there could be like 16-64 of them (if they decide to use their advantage instead of derping).
The insanity of some specialist perks like the hookshot.
The way most vehicles (other than the nightbird) are quite clumsy between their acceleration turn and turret speed and angle.
But ironically, there are still times where drivers and pilots have a very good time. Simply because the infantry chose not to give them enough reprisal and not because the vehicle is too good.
Personally as a player, I will devote as much effort as required to take out a vehicle that is annoying me, I do not get why others do not want to.

Because people know all too well it makes no real difference - the guy will be back within minutes in a fresh vehicle.

How much it hurts you to wait 15 secs longer?
- Man_iLoveFishing1 year agoSeasoned Ace@MADMAC50K well, enough. There are instances where i die to a bug, bs desync. Stuff like that. I've seen it enough. Especially when someone gets mad and wont let me play vehicle. What i mean is my post above.
- Lady_One1 year agoNew Ace@VOLBANKER_PC So... Killing infantry is pointless because they'll be back within seconds?
Or is it that you think killing vehicles is too hard? What's the real issue here?
If you can't hit slightly distant or moving ground vehicles with the RPG, blame DICE for not including an MBT-LAW equivalent. That was a pretty big problem at launch with all the BOLTEs zipping around. Or blame how stupid they made the SRAW. - VOLBANKER_PC1 year agoSeasoned Ace
Comparing vehicles and infantry 1:1 is ridiculous.
Vehicles are (naturally) much more powerful than infantry.
