Also, it seems that more people are liking BF2042 than the "veterans" have expected
But the changes which DICE had made where needed to bring again more players to the franchise
And the specialist system is good and this BF makes fun
@CountSero do a little research its not that hard
BF3 first week 3.73M total sales 15 million
BF4 first week 1.6 million total sales 7 million also did well in japan
BF1 first week 3.46 million total sales 25 million huge success
BF5 first week 1.4 million ( we know why) total sales 7.5 million
BF2042 first week 4.23 million ( almost 30% refunds requested), what that total will be is unsure total sales TBC
of course, there was hard on and BF2 1942 (see pic)
so it's done ok but of course its a broken mess 27% were pre-orders, there is also not a great deal being released presently, if this released along side cod it would have been dead, dead, dead which saddens me greatly.
vanguard was better in terms of content, Campaign Multilaplayer more maps more weapons, even BF4 had more content a lot more at release.
you enjoy your weekend lad
- 4 years ago@Kernel_Fender maybe it was not clear enough but my answer where related to the sales on first week not overall 😉 because that can't be compared to BF2042 because game is just released?
and when vanguard is better why are you still here? I know you don't need to answer this, it was more a rhetorical question (I thought to mentioned it before think you need to answer this!!!)
Yeah, I’m with you there that BF2042 has too many issues with performance and QoL things on release but in which direction this game will go was clear since the beta
And then to have this release numbers in one week, I think it sold well than 😉- 4 years ago
I gave you figures for all battlefield games 1st week and totals, to give some context to your pontificating of how you EA DICEW are best buds and such.
I mentioned vanguard as Dice are in direct competition with Activision, so it's a good barometer.
I don't personally own it however a friend does, so i have had a look at a play, so I have a clue what I'm talking about. 35 years of gaming, over 700 titles what does that mean, meh.
dice made a cod/ every other FPS shooter mash-up, advertised it just like that it sold.
however, Dice were weighed battlefield 2042 measured, both were found severely wanting, none of us are happy about that, we only wanted a battlefield game nothing more.
PS: don't placate me next time, i was niether angry or annoyed, if anything i felt pity

"BF2042 first week 4.23 million ( almost 30% refunds issued to be deducted)"
Lol. You just pulled that 30% stat from you know where.
Hardly anyone is genuinely getting a refund outside of normal refund figures that every game experiences. You do know that, right?
Even if we took the fake negative steam review bomb numbers of 30,000 that only makes up about 1% of total first week sales
And 1% is commonly referred to as statistically insignificant.
- 4 years ago@Tank2042Man your right i should have said requested refunds.
i read an article that said 1.24 million had requested refunds, that's about 30% of 4.23- 4 years ago@Kernel_Fender So post a link to the article then.
@Kernel_FenderWhere did you get that 30% were refunded from?
Edit: I see that you already answered that. I can't find any such article anywhere- 4 years ago
I politely asked him to link the article and he vanished....

@zbran1Im sure thats not the case. EA would never in a million years have release those numbers to the public if that was true.
I can't imagine an article like that exists (Unless some gaming "journalist" just made up a random number to put in their article)
