Attachments will need a total re-work
Following the public execution of the Assault Rifles that was patch 5.0, I feel like most of the attachments will need a substantial re-work.
Currently, attachments are mostly used in two ways:
1 - To play on the weapon's strong side - Add more hip fire accuracy to an SMG, more accuracy to LMG/AR etc.
2 - Reducing recoil to allow the weapon to be more viable at longer ranges.
Now with 5.0 and the upcoming slaughter of most fully automatic weapons, ALOT of attachments will become obsolete because every single weapon will be locked into ~50m range. Beyond that, even weapons that are designed for long range - AK, ScarH, RPD-31 will become useless. And since recoil is so low across the board, there would be no point in reducing it to be able to reach that 50m threshold.
Compensators for different types of recoil, or +accuracy -recoil and -accuracy +recoil ones. They will be totally useless. Weapons will no longer need them because their designed range will be well within default recoil/spread values.
The current spread is so insanely RNG that using BCG light grip and tactical compensator does absolutely nothing. I've tested on AK-24, new G36C, and M5A3, and there is no difference. I found that using the default/short barrel OR suppressor with LWG grip or grenade launcher is the only viable option right now. Everything else does nothing.
Sadly this is another case of Dice making some stupid decision without putting any thought into it. The same happened in BF5 with the TTK update where damage was so low for some of the weapons, their 20-round mags didn't have enough bullets to kill an enemy at ~30m even if you have an insane accuracy (Looking at you FG-42)
