Just use the rules editor to code in a team switch.
You can then punch in a team switch cheat on the controller whenever you want, like the good old days.
That way, you can switch teams back and forth whenever you want.
I'm don't know how to code that

personal wishlist
1. All map sizes added to custom conquest
2. Ability to turn on flags from other map size variants of the same map (ie turn on 64 player tunnel flag in 128 player exposure map).
3. Ability to place new capture flags
4. Ability to mix vehicles from different factions / eras into one faction
5. Ability to do item 4 for weapons and gadgets without the need of the logic editor - ie a faction with all weapons gadgets and vehicles from all eras in a single faction that we can then turn on and off the things we want.
6. More maps from BF3, BFBC2 (including a couple from the Vietnam DLC) and BF42.
7. AH-1 Cobra (Vietnam variant) and AH-1Z viper (BF3).
8. Huey transport (Vietnam variant and BF3 variant), and Mi-8 transport
9. T-55 and PT-76 (Vietnam vehicles)
10. OH-6 little bird.
11. M60 Patton tank
12. AK47 from BFBC2
13. Mortars
14. Ability to modify weapon / gadget / vehicle properties via logic editor - ie rate of fire, damage, explosion radius, projectile / rocket speed,
15. BFBC2 Vietnam / Battlefield Vietnam gadgets - ie pungi sticks, bouncing betty, tunnel team spawn point
16. BFBC2 Vietnam player models
17. Ability to place things with the logic editor - spawn points (not just teleport), vehicle spawns, objects, trees, structures.
18. Ability to restrict vehicle attachments
19. Ability to enable / disable parachutes for particular classes, also the ability to make parachutes disabled for classes but available to pilots.
20. Ability to turn off ziplines / repel lines
21. Ka60 transport for BF3
22. Ability to modify vehicle numbers in custom conquest - as is possible in vehicle superiority.
23. Logic editor blocks for AI - ie force AI to follow player, force AI move to targeted location (not teleport), force AI to target enemy
Now the reason I have listed a lot of Vietnam items is because there is already a lot of the weapons and vehicles in game for Vietnam era factions.
The other half of it is by adding Vietnam era factions it also means weapons and vehicles that could be used by a lot of Cold War era factions.
If they made a faction with all weapons / gadgets / vehicles available as per item 4 and 5 in my list then you could pretty much set up factions for a whole variety of different conflicts.
For example, if you could mix the current vehicles from different eras into one faction you would be able to have a vehicle selection similar to BF2 for US and MEC.
