Battlefield 2042 Xbox One to Xbox Series X version upgrade.

Hi all, I thought when buying Battlefield 2042 for the Xbox One, they we're going to offer a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version? Can somebody please let me know if this is the case and how I...

@EA_Leeuw So if you got only the last gen Xbox version, you would have to buy the next gen version?

@4094795427 Depends on if you bought the standard edition or cross-gen edition.

Xbox One Standard Edition cannot be upgraded to Series S/X Edition, but the Cross-Gen, Gold, and Ultimate Editions for Xbox One can download the Series S/X Edition.

The disc version also can't download cross-gen versions. If a disc version of 2042 is purchased on Series X/S, you won't be able to download the Xbox One version of 2042 and play it in backwards compatibility mode. But if you buy the digital version you can.
