@OskooI_007 I would hope not completely people will still camp ingame, or just lay mines/c4 out where the vehicles spawn and just instantly blow them up as soon as someone hops in one, I do hope though that with the prespawned vehicles that if they're the same as the ones in the spawn screen you can choose to spawn in that they automatically apply your vehicle unlocks to them.I'm excited for the vehicles to return back to how they originally were introduced in the Battlefield franchise, up for grabs at spawn points once you spawned onto the base. I prefer to do that rather than compete for vehicle spawns at the spawn screen, but understand your concerns. I still plant mines underneath vehicles whenever I have the chance, nothing like getting a kill confirmation 5 minutes later when someone jumped into the vehicle. Feels like you're special forces. I've learned over the years to check vehicles for C4 and mines underneath because of those deathly mistakes.
As for camping vehicles, you generally never saw it happen too often to warrant a concern. I remember doing it myself on Gulf of Oman where I camped the Middle Eastern Coalition's jets with a sniper rifle pointed right on the cockpit, so the moment someone got in I took the shot. 90% of the time the player would respawn and tried to hunt me down. I relocated as a sniper (as a good sniper would), only to kill them once more. Eventually, they would tell their buddies how irritated they were at me camping the jet so you had 4-5 people suddenly rush you at once and that was the end of that. Good laughs.
If I sat over there all game doing that I would call myself a camper as that's not really my game style, but temporarily restricting them from getting control of their assets is fair game to me in the art of war. They either need someone to defend the base or be aware of someone behind enemy lines at their base. Like I said earlier though, Battlefield players are pretty good at spreading the word on what's happening so those type of issues are cleared up pretty quick.
As always though, stay tuned for more official details on how the vehicle system will work. Always good to raise concerns like @TankerFlanker's so the development team is aware of what behavior the community is anticipating. - rainkloud5 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_Blueberry I too have fond memories of infiltration missions and adding "care packages" to jets as they headed off into the wild blue yonder. But times move on and unless its tied to a game mode where the base is capturable we need to have bases safely nestled into OOB territory. Especially with air combat we need to give players a fighting chance. Having your air assets insta gibbed means there's considerably less opposition for the enemy and having control over the skies often means bad news on the ground as the effects trickle down. You end up with too many non competitive games.
If you want to build a map or mode around that mechanic then that's fine but for traditional conquest players need some breathing room otherwise you end up having to devote resources to base defense which isn't terribly appealing and sort of detracts from PTFO.
I hope we still have BF3/BF4 style spawns in addition to being able to enter them from the ground. If not, I think you'll actually have people waste MORE time waiting for a vehicle rather than less as try to run from position to position to get one. Let's hope that we can also update our vehicle configs even if there are no vehicles available. There's zero reason not to be able to utilize that down time to prep your loadout and it wastes time having to do that once you have tapped the vehicle icon like in BF1/V - soupy485 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
@UP_HawxxeyeThank you for the video. Made me laugh.

@EA_Blueberry yes, I love the idea of having vehicles scattered over the base up for grabs after spawning, I was slightly worried we would go into battlefront 2 type of system where you can only gain vehicles with points and only directly spawn into them/or call them to airdrop, good to hear there are actually vehicles on the map itself

@Raven3356 As mentioned above, no one really knows yet. However using some reasoning, we can safely assume that there will very likely be a point system of some kind in place.
Just take map balance, they will likely want / have to limit the amount and type of vehicles on even the largest maps. As such, they will have to implement a way to keep vehicle spawns active, but not too much. A point-based and / or time-based system would permit this, but it would likely need to be finely tuned, just like any other gameplay feature (ideally, lol).

As I showed in the video in the last page, the first to get to the vehicle is not necessarily more competitive at using the vehicle.
These things are best done by communicating with the team instead of being the BFFs Noob to others. I for once would relinquish the seat to anyone who is serious about being able to do a better job at it than me (I may be very decent but there are always much bigger fish than me)
- HudsonSSD5 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Raven3356 There will be some point system were you can spawn vehicles in to your location. These vehicles you can spawn in can be hit by enemy fire allegedly as they come down (mentioned in a EA briefing chat online)
Apart from that there will be vehicles to use around the map.
I would like to see a cool down system once you’ve been in a vehicle tank plane helicopter etc once you die there is a cool down or time limit before you can try to obtain another. @UP_HawxxeyeIf players have to be better than you to use a vehicle, then how will they ever get a chance to learn?
I think vehicles should be available to all player skill levels.
- R1ckyDaMan195 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_Hawxxeye Everyone has an equal right to use any vehicle that is available regardless of how good someone is, this is a sandbox, everyone is entitled to have fun how they want.
Honestly think people need to stop looking at battlefield as a purely competetive game, its a fun sandbox that emulates a large scale battle, who cares if joe takes the attack chopper and rams the nearest building? just laugh and move on, dont take it so seriously. - EA_Blueberry5 years ago

Battlefield 4 did have the Test Range where you can practice vehicles. Personally though, I'd love to see something like that again but with missions imbedded into it. For example, stay on a certain pathing with the helicopter X amount of feet low to the ground and get to the end under a certain amount of time. Another one could be when to practice shooting off flares to avoid AA missiles. Take it to another level by getting new pilots battle ready.
