I mean tbf cheating is always gonna be a constant arms race with DICE having to play whack-a-mole for all eternity. There's always an exploit and many methods just get more complex than a spy movie plot.
Reporting does work in just about any game it's moreover an issue of the devs needing time to validate the report, find the exploit, plug it, and prevent the cheaters from getting right back to it after a banwave. If they bop em too quick they just report the ban to the cheat maker and they patch/harden the cheat to make it harder to remove. Too late and well players get upset.
It's just a sucky part of modern gaming and isn't exclusive to any one title. Best hope is DICE gets more resources to commit to it but odds are they'd be allocated to the next game so best we can do is report and help em spot the lil rats.

Yeah. That cheaters chasing is like cat and mouse.. Never ending battle. In my opinion kind of waste of money and resources if it doesn't get anywhere.

It isnt a waste because cheaters ultimately harm the game for both players and devs. Players wont get to have fun, which means they leave and dont spend money as well as dont encourage new players to pop in and be a fresh potential purchaser.
It is always ALWAYS worth fighting against for everyone's sake (well except cheaters lmao).

I don't think it will make any cheaters to stop cheating tho
