Bigger Squads - Conversations
Does anyone else wish Squads were bigger than 4 people?
Especially considering the size of teams in this game, finding any friends who couldn't fit into your squad will be a nightmare.

Unfortunately, Battlefield 2042 will be releasing with four man squads.

CAN SQUADS USE ANY COMBINATION OF SPECIALISTS?
In Battlefield 2042, a Squad will consist of a maximum of 4 players. In Conquest and Breakthrough, squads can contain more than one unique Specialist.
The primary counter-point to increasing squad size is the math. 128 divides very neatly by 4. 8 man squads could be feasible, but now with Hazard Zone in play at 4 man squads... it all makes sense now.
But Remember that BF4 had 5 men squads even if the game servers were of 64 people, and most squads are trios, sometimes solos and other times are full, from my perspective, that shouldn't be a problem.
- @M3XA_14 The reasons people give, why they think Dice will not go for bigger squads are not valid in my believe:
- In game GUI player icons could be smaller or a few player icons next to it
- Indead like you mentioned the amount of players could not be devided into an equal amount of squads. Had that proven to be a problem?
- Spawning over and over again on your team mates could be easier if you are with a bigger squad. Resulting in a squad that's almost impossible to whipe from a point. In that case give the killed squad members a longer spawn time when they try to return to their squad members. Or make it faster when they spawn somewhere else on the map. Or let them spawn further away from their squad members.
- Because Hazard Zone has 4 squads members, so the rest of the game also needs 4 squad members. I ask why?? Solution: if Hazard Zone loads 4 squad members else if other game modes loads 6 squad members.
I think bigger squads will also result in intenser longer fights at certain points.
Is there still a point I'm missing?The part I really don't get is why is it not an option to increase squad size in portal?
