First of i will say that it feels that there are no point becures ea or dice never give respons. But I give it a try.Why was the clan tag option removed? In all battlefield games u could have clantag. The clan base was a huge part of battlefield games. Its sad that battlefield Are destroyed.I really hope that clan tag will come back to battlefield againg.And what went wrong in the idea of have server rotation and not map rotation???Look at bf 2 bf 4 bf 5. There where almost perfect in all ways. Then look at battlefield 2142...Its like that the entire team of was drunk and high when making the game. Why ruin a working concept?I dont know if the tag works. But really like if ea or dice could respon to this and give some explaination.@eahelp@Dice

@PsubondWe played other clans on our own server instance. Managed by us, set to private, protected with password, in an organized way.Try to figure out why this is not an option anymore.But that was MANY years ago, when we were younger. Now we are all >40, many of us over 50 years old, slower and most of the time we are lucky if we can fill two squads.But indeed, the sole motivation many of us now have to play Battlefield is to chat with each other via TeamSpeak WHILE playing a game at the same time. We also try our best to be good at the game, but even with 8 or so of us we still lose if we are in a bad team. You can't win a game with 8 average players, even if they are organized and communicating and even if we are the best squad. Maybe we are just too bad. But to be honest, the ONLY reason to play is the friends to play together with. On my own I would NEVER play Battlefield. But this is not the fault of BF2042 as this was the same for older titles. It is a game that you play together with friends or not at all. I am aware that many players out there have a different view. This is mine, but I share that view with most if not all of my clan mates.

@ElliotLHYeah I think the positives for having clans definitely outweigh the negatives and they were always a big part of BF over the years.If they do go ahead and add in a server browser (hopefully in Season One ) I think there will be a big demand for them to add clan support.

@WingSlayer1982 Because it was going to be a battle royale and they don't need clan tags in a BR.

@Anobix this is 110% correct. This was a lone wolf game from its core. Slapping some BF-style features and game modes does not make it a BF game.Why have a clan tag when you don't have platoons/clans or any other group management in or out of the game?

@WingSlayer1982 I'm not sure as I feel that platoons are a largely positive aspect of the series. It could be that support wasn't added in due to time constraints but that may be incorrect, and another factor might be to blame.I did think that maybe the complaints about clan-stacking in the previous games may be a factor, but considering tlhow hard it is to play with more than a handful of friends, without faffing around anyway, probably negates that.

@DuaneDibbley that kind of clan play is all good. the kind i didn't like were the clans that would go into a public server and just destroy the experience for random solo players

like i said, it should still be in the game i just didn't personally like it. when we had a server browser it was easy enough to avoid though.

@Psubond That’s very good for recruitment though, I agree it was bad. We’d get accused of that in ATF sometimes, then they’d see how we sucked and we’re fine with it lol. ATF was a mature clan to begin with, just having fun with games and some pops, although we did field a couple of decent comp teams for BC2 and BF3. Good times. 2042 will never be able to welcome clans without a server browser, even if they don’t have rentable servers. They really need to bring back both to help their numbers. In V I kept having the wrong emblem. I discovered the old Platoon from 4 was still active, I had to go in there and turn it off to change to my emblem instead of the platoon emblem. So it still exists.

They do definitely need to act, and act very soon if they want to attract numbers back to BF2042
Not having a server browser or even a heads up about whether BF2042 will get one in the future is a big turn off for most players.
