First, will Battlefield 2042 support cross-progression? If so, I have another question. I want to get BF2042 for both the PC and the PS5, but if I pre-order the Ultimate Edition for one platform, will it carry over to the other if I just pre-ordered the standard version for that one?

Yes, if you buy the Ultimate Edition on PC and buy the Standard Edition for PS5 and link both to the same EA Account, you should have the Ultimate Edition bonuses and perks available to you on the PS5 as well.

Alongside cross-play we’re also building cross-progression and cross-commerce for Battlefield 2042, which will be shared across all platforms and travel with you wherever you go. For example, your unlocked progress and purchases in your PlayStation® copy of the game will carry over onto the Xbox or PC version, and vice versa*.
So.... i bought the Utimate version of the game on Xbox Series X and the standard version of the game on PC.... i have the bonus, skins and pass 1 year on Xbox but nothing on PC... and the support of EA just reply me that's normal cause i didn't buy the ultimate edition on PC too...
That's not realy cross-commerce for me...
Even on PC they ask me to buy again the pass 1 year... WTF ?!
Wanted to post that this is INCORRECT.
The Battlepass included with the Gold edition of the game, as well as the other cosmetics, do not carry across platforms.
Yep my pc version is left without the ultimate edition content so much for cross progression… hope they fix this…
I have the ultimate edition on PS5 and was tempted to buy the xbox version to play with a seperate group of friends.
I have my ps5 and xbl accounts linked to my EA account.
Can anyone confirm whether the cross platform progression actually works as intended / advertised?
I know ALL my progression works between the ps4 and ps5 versions of the game as I have tested this but I haven't tested with the xbsx and ps5.
I was hoping g to just buy the standard edition on xb and have all my stuff crossover.
