Same here. They need to re enable weapon progression in portal. Forcing people to play the really * normal mode where it takes 10-15 rounds at point blank range to drop someone is stupid. That or have a dedicated hardcore mode. Or let us have dedicated servers like in bf4.

It such a shame that the core game looks and feels so much like a CoD game this time around. Portal really is the only thing that'll keep me playing 2042, and that's only if they add a few more customisation options and some more historic BF content and really let us .ix it up a bit, like give us the whole entire weapon pool and let us choose exactly what weapons are allowed, I'd love to be able to have a server where every single BF weapon and vehicle was was allowed, no matter what faction it was from. Imagine a bunch of Spitfires trying to take down a modern attack chopper or Condor or something.

I'm really not sure why the BFV factions and content has been left out of Portal either, BFV did the WW2 experience very well IMO.

Only time will tell whether the core game will be a success or the portal.
For me, it is the portal that sounds promising, but also still not at the level it should or can be.
There is still a lot missing imo.
Unfortunately, I think Dice will primarily focus on the core game and not the portal with specialists and battlepasses in mind.
The purpose of the portal is probably an attempt to keep the BF players who does not like the direction the core game has taken.Unfortunately, it can turn out that both sides become dissatisfied.
