Is it just me or has everyone finally figured out that the power creep weapons are stupidly overpowered now, especially after DICE announced they're going to nerf it? Maybe people have finally reached that rank in the battlepass, but recently a unusual amount of people has been running the RM68 or RPT. I've been on a bit of a marathon of 2042 and I can count on one hand how many other guns I've died to that isn't a RM or RPT. Which, before anyone says 'fight fire with fire,' no. I'm not going to. To alter a quote from BFFs, "there's no honor in killing a man with a broken gun." It's already painfully obvious that the weapons are power creep since DICE isn't nerfing it until Season 5, so I'm not excited to see what new power creep weapons we're going to have to deal with.

Never seen a weapon as op as the RM 68 in battlefield : the developers wanted to favor new players and the other Dice don't care.The RM 68, the SPH grenades ( the grenades in this battlefield it's so ridiculous) : with the RM 68 and sph grenade they destroyed the balancing. It's impossible, developers shouldn't play their own game. Dice's complete lack of respect for the community.

Everyone just figuring out the RM68 is ridiculous?

@NazT55 Have you tried fully rigging it out? At start its very bad. But unlock short barrel + CQ ammo + BCG Light grip and it turns into a monster with lazer accuracy and 0 recoil. Oh and it has stupidly high damage. 5 shot kill out to 80 meters with CQB ammo while other ARs are 6 or even 7 shot kill beyond 50 meters

@Fr0stW0lves Yeah its stupidly OP right now. Every low skill blueberry is using it atm. I still haven't figured out why Dice hasn't released a hotfix for its broken damage curve. Even CBQ ammo beats SCARH heavy ammo in damage per shot. And it has higher ROF, lower recoil and insane accuracy

@UP_LordPlumberWhy wont DICE re-balance all the attachments so they dont turn every weapon into recoilles laserbeams? Together with the silly strafing and sillier jumping while shooting... gunplay is horrid like this in BF2042.

@UP_LordPlumber Well, they can make money off it right now with the battlepass skips, so they have absolute no reason to nerf it. People hear it's hot garbage and can solve their skill issue, since the gun outshoots literally everything else, and they want it. Then we have all the people who cry 'nerf incoming, get your T1' who just create this massive feedback loop that makes more people use it.

@Fr0stW0lves just as DICE wants it to be. they will only balance a weapon once everyone knows its broken, before that their spreadsheet tells them otherwise

@Dystopique I don't know if they are making new weapons OP (trying to make new content interesting) or whether they are actually stupid/incompetent.

From the general looks of BF2042, it seems like a combination of stupidity (making new weapons OP) and incompetance in general (making a game full of bad decisions).

TTK is a matter of math (damage, recoil etc), it shouldn't really be that hard.
