Falsely Banned

Hi everyone, I tried making Reddit posts as well, but they keep getting autoremoved for some reason.

I played BF2042 when it first came out for a couple weeks then stopped playing it, I thought I would give it another try with the new season, re-installed the game, and opened it only to find out I was banned all the way back on December 3rd with no reason given what for.

I tried making a case but of course I'm just sitting here with my thumb up my behind waiting for a response, which will most likely be an automated one, and am making this post hoping someone else had a similar problem.

I even googled Battlefield 2042 banned for no reason, which then brought me to these forums, and apparently a lot of people were banned on this specific date as well, does anyone know why?

I am as clean as it gets to gaming, I have no history on my infraction record, besides this BS false ban, I have security measures in place to ensure I was not / will not be hacked, and as you can see by my name, I have an original tag, so it's not like I was on some dummy account rage hacking. I did not even get an email saying I was banned in the first place, even though it said I did.

I'm just completely dumbfounded that, not only was I banned, it doesn't even give me a reason what for, I have never used these forums before so I don't know how everything works, but I will try to include a picture of my infraction history, and you can see for yourself.

If there's anyone out there who can help me, please do.

Thanks.

    Hey there,

  • Nobody here can unban you. You need to contact EA directly, they will most likely direct you to EAC but you need to start there.

MW2 coming out soon and this game will officially die, so don’t worry about your ban.

Sorry mate, there are a ton of different things can can cause a false ban like mice and other peripherals and stuff like custom overlays/cursors. Unfortunatley there is nothing we can really do on AHQ to help and you'll need to rely on support chat to get to the bottom of things. I wish you luck mate

  • Hi@Lithium, welcome to the club of the December 3rds, sorry about that.

When contacting the TOS team, be aware:

    - you have only two tries to appeal for lifting the ban; starting with the 3rd appeal, they clearly state they won't even read and consider your ticket any more and close it immediately.

    - so put as much helpful info as possible in your first ticket to check if there is at least a chance for unbanning

    - the only chance may be that someone else hacked you and you can prove it, this may then sometimes be overturned. to prove that, download your EA data and look for successful logins from other sources than you are using.

I had 4 appeals so far, without any success and without any info what I am accused of (having played 1000s of hours in all Battlefield games since BF2 on this account, so it would have been totally stupid to cheat on this account).

So, sorry to say, I can't give you much hope that anything will happen and anyone may help you; for myself I can clearly state that this was my last EA/Dice buy, deeply disappointed about the game itself but also the customer support.

    @NBAasDOGG:

    unfortunately, it's not that easy.

Any ban (doesn't matter if its only for one game or the whole account) prevents any further changes to this account, especially linking/unlinking with other account.

So any linked Xbox, Steam, PrimeGaming, ... will stay forever, as the link can only be broken from EA side (strange concept).

    Best Regards
