But yes, I agree that it would be nice to have a working mouse for this game. So infuriating to die to console players when you could at least try to be as precise as aim assist and fail just because you can't aim properly.
The sad thing is, they nailed that in BF5 and before and when going back to older titles you immediately notice how a working mouse 'feels' like.Yeah it's crazy how they were able to nail mouse input for 4 games in a row but now the technology has apparently been lost
God I can't imagine how bad the code must be for them to not be able to just use the code from BFV
Really goes to show how bad DICE has fallen as a studio

Handling mouse input is integral part of the ENGINE itself, so its not really BF2042 that suffers from that, but basically ALL titles they plan to release that are based on the current version of Frostbite. Not all games require precise mouse input of course, like a racing game. But if they ever plan to release a new title and they cannot make the mouse input work it will be another thing that would definitely prevent many PC players from buying the game.
Next to many core features that would have to be in from the start, like a server browser, a score board or squad management features -- or NOT in, like specialists -- of course.
