Fix the mouse input
I just went to play BFV for the first time in monts and the difference is night and day Is it really impossible to port the code use for BFV? I have never seen a AAA title where the mouse input is ...

Even worse!
Handling mouse input is integral part of the ENGINE itself, so its not really BF2042 that suffers from that, but basically ALL titles they plan to release that are based on the current version of Frostbite. Not all games require precise mouse input of course, like a racing game. But if they ever plan to release a new title and they cannot make the mouse input work it will be another thing that would definitely prevent many PC players from buying the game.
Next to many core features that would have to be in from the start, like a server browser, a score board or squad management features -- or NOT in, like specialists -- of course.
I mean surely if the engine was maintained by competent people they should be able to just scrap the changes made to how they handle mouse input and bring back the old code
There must be something that made reverting back impossible because otherwise I just can't understand why they wouldn't do it
It's my understanding from Julian, the software engineer who coded the controls. That the Frostbite team probably changed something while upgrading the Frostbite engine and that's why controller settings such as aim assist, stick deadzone, and acceleration leak over into the mouse settings.
He said at one time the 'code paths' for controller and mouse used to be separate, but he's not sure anymore because he works at Ripple Effect now and has no insight into what changes the Frostbite team have made during engine upgrades.
In order for them to fix it, they would first have to understand the way in which it is broken. It's not clear that anyone in the position to solve the issue even understands the problem exists. They haven't even mentioned it, other than community moderators saying "looking into it". In my experience that has been CM speak for "don't expect anything".
It can't take 10 months for a company which is completely focused on a single game to fix mouse input on first person shooter. Statement made by the DICE GM in June "We’re completely focused on Battlefield 2042. The majority of the team here, plus our colleagues over at Ripple Effect, are focused on Battlefield 2042."
Either:
1. The right people don't even know or acknowledge that mouse input is not functioning properly.
-or-
2. They know its a problem and have no plans to fix it.
