so far. Really is an amazing design. And the fun is back. I like the Specialists. I like the maps. I like the new vehicles. I like the gadgets. I like the 20 years into the future theme. ...I liked playing a little bit of Classic BF1942 on the side.
In game it feels like people are having fun. You go into the forums and it's just complaint city. lol.
It didn't even feel that buggy or unoptimized tonight. I guess I was too into the game to notice much.
If you feel that way good for you, but a 10/10 means spot on in every way, this feels like a MMO review score from someone who's just gotten out of the newbie zone.
(see user reviews for new world as an example, people with low playtime find it fantastic, people who have hit the 40+ grind go "is this really it?")
The closest we've gotten (imo, as you can see from other posters tastes vary, unsurprisingly, and nothing wrong with it either) is BF3, and that was hardly 10/10 on launch, or even at it's peak, but it was at least close.
This, based on the weapon balance alone is nowhere near a 10, but that is of course only my opinion.
If you had to make me give it a score right now It'd be a 5, with portal doing a lot of heavy lifting to get it there.
I expect it to land somewhere around 5 to 7 once the dust settles (if they make some solid QoL choices in the near future) simply because everything from map flow to guns and vehicle balance is a complete mess, and I'm not even including the technical issues in that assessment as i expect nothing less from a BF launch.
That being said, unlike every BF before it (including those i wasn't a huge fan of) there was an obvious underpinning that you could see had some saving graces.
Right now the closest (imo, again) we have to a saving grace is that there's an alternative to core and HZ, and though i think they might managed to make core seem less than a slog over time, HZ i think is going to be a dud.
So yea, glad you're enjoying it, but a 10/10 it is objectively not.
I've been complaining a lot about this game, but honestly, I love it!
Its a massive upgrade from BFV.
I've been playing since BFBC2 and I have to say, yes BFBC2, BF3 & BF4 are legendary.
But this game, is coming close to it. I can see myself playing regularly.
I love the bug fixes - server lag is gone and game feels proper now.

Other than this 3, I am loving this game. Vehicles are a big part of Battlefield, if they fix the vehicles, this game is easily 10/10 for me , along with BFBC2 & BF3 & BF4.

@GosBikerThis is basically my feel from the beta. No this isn't near 10/10, but its the easily the closest we've gotten to the now classic BF3 and BF4. And Portal seems like a real winner as far as longevity.
@Fringerunner is right. The issues I'm reading about and seeing are going to be frustrating as the new shine wears off the game and you get into the serious level grind. Server stability, weapon and vehicle balance way off, Specialists undercutting class teamwork, not being able to play with your friends, no platoon system, only 7 maps in the main game mode...in a couple of months all this stuff will be wearing at players big time.
