@ATFGunrThe AA in BF 5 did not stand a chance against any half way decent pilot.
Pilots could fire their missiles from an out of range position!

Even now in 2042 if you get a lock on and fire the pilot simply flares, runs away and returns once it recharges. Flares at a minimum should recharge much more slowly for balance reasons.

I still think changing the Fligerfaust was a mistake. When I was getting OHK by one it was usual because I was being lax with my flying and deserved to get smacked down. I think it added a nice element of risk too as SAA wasn't really much of a threat in my experience (I had the sites memorised and used to watch the minimap for icons disappearing, so either escaped them or killed them).
- 2 years ago@ElliotLH I agree. How did you like the BF1 flak-gun? The AT rifle that could shoot flak shells?
- ElliotLH2 years agoHero+@Wargame_Enj0yer I didn't get on too well with it when I tried using it, but I think that was just because you had to use the bipod. I'm sure I got shot down by a couple in BF1 though. How did you find it?
- 2 years ago@ElliotLH At first it was awkard becasue of how you had to set it up, but ultimateIy I find it pretty cool to use.
If you could find another engineer or squadmate to run the same setup you could down an ace pilot that was on a strafe vs ground. That actually worked. It had a good balance between chance of coordination in a pool of randoms versus aircraft farming infantry. - ElliotLH2 years agoHero+@Wargame_Enj0yer Nice, I probably didn't give it enough of a chance back then. Using it in tandem with someone else is a good shout too.
The Burton was my go to AA in BF1. Those incendiary rounds were great against low flying planes.
