This just happened to me today. Finished the match and then at the statistics screen, my game closed and I had a popup that said to uninstall any cheats. I have nothing in the background running, except for whatever game UI is running and my Radeon software. I would never succumb to any scummy cheats either. Goes against any ethics for gaming.

- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@Digital_Ladd I get what I call error 117, where EnA Anti Cheat tells me I’m naughty for no reason. Clearing the EA App cache as Govtookmybaby suggested is the way to go. It’s happened 3 times since the new AC was released. Maybe it doesn’t like Ryzen Master. Maybe it doesn’t like Razer Synapse. It’s reacting to something that can change the game files in its opinion, as a cheat code would, but with PC there are a ton of legit purposes and programs. It’s why Ray Tracing had to be suspended in game, as it’s perceived as a “cheat” by EA Anticheat. It’s all well and good until I end up banned for not cheating… then I’ll freak.

I got the error 117 as well, but for me this was right at the start of the game and it stated which process it had an issue with. For me, this was ProcMon (which was closed and the driver unloaded, but this is a tool I need on my system as this is not only used for gaming). But EAAC seemed to have found some signature it left in memory and insisted I needed to reboot.
Very annoying to being forced into a reboot, but after that, it was working again. I would not mind as much if the tool was good for actually catching cheaters (or at least better than EAC was), but the increased in cheaters after EAAC was introduces suggests to me that this was indeed a step in the wrong direction.- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@ForumUserThere’s bug reports in the forums about it, it was one if the CMs that shared the info about the EA App. I think like everything EA does, it wasn’t polished (maybe not even completed) when it was rolled out. I’m cynical enough to assume a licensing fee was coming up from EasyAntiCheat…. That’s just a guess tho. They need something kernel based to fight the hax, so I’m supportive of that. I suspect it’ll be painful, so it better be effective.
