Imagine pay for a XBL or PSN subscription to deal with cheaters

Imagine pay for Battlefield, then pay for Xbox Live or PSN just to have some of the frustration that PC players go trought.

And console players can't even use a keyboard/mouse to play the game in a crossplay server.

"Oh but console players have aim assist"

Try to play on a controler and do a 180 and accuratelly aim after that if before finish your turning you won't be already down.

Keyboard and mouse is better than a controller for FPS period.

Don't care how much they buff console players with ain assist. Both sides gets frustrated.

Try to navigate in a browser with a mouse then try to do the same thing with a controller. See how fast and precise is to do with each other.

That being said, why console players dont have an option to use KM?

Why have to deal with cheaters and the game you bought and pay montly for a subscription?

I don't see any reason to buy a next Battlefield just to some years ahead cant play the game, using a controller against KM and after that the game loses oficial support.

BF2042 is a fail because of "give me money" EA politics and if you're on console, depending of your region, you can't even play with crossplay disabled.

And they are ruining even the oldest releases dont giving a f about hackers.

  • @Kratos360Aurion I'm sorry but whats the point of linking BF5 video? It doesn't have cross play.

And just please stop with these posts. There are a ton of people playing on the controller and decimating PC players. How come?

@UP_LordPlumber Oh come on. The BF5 link is clearly about the hackers ruining BF5. Don't pretend it's about crossplay. If you're selling these game pass subscriptions on various platforms you should support the games you're offering with a better anti cheat than it currently has.

The guy also has a point about crossplay. It brings a ton of balancing issues to the table that he has every right to post about.

@I_DYN4MO_I Cheating has been a major debate in alot of online games lately. Even Activision can't keep up with them by pumping millions into Anti-cheat solutions. Its just the way it is these days. We're losing this battle against cheaters.

Every major FPS today - CoD, WZ, Battlefield, Apex, CS, and even Overwatch 2 are suffering from major cheaters problems. Its not "Battlefield only" issue. Trust me, I've been playing WZ 1 during its first year.

As for the "Balancing" issues of cross platform, this topic can be debated far and wide. Console players already get 25% recoil reduction + aim assist that has the ability to track people through smoke and walls. And there are a ton of people playing with a controller, even on PC and doing just fine. Personally I think most are using "PC is too stronk" as yet another excuse of being bad at the game.

Besides that, as far as I know PS5 has a healthy non cross play population. Not sure about xbone

@UP_LordPlumberThere's a massive difference between BF5's and 2042's cheater problems. One games clearly supported whilst the other ones been left to die. It's a night and day difference. Like I said, If you're selling game pass subscriptions you should implement the same systems as your newer game and reduce the amout of blatant cheaters with as many hurdles as possible.

I'll never be a fan of crossplay. Players can exploit it far too easily with control input emulators such as XIM and have all the advantages of both sides of the input debate such as -25% recoil and aim assist. Whilst crossplay reduces queue times it's something I wish was gone. I'd much prefer a server browser instead for a plethora of reasons including cross platform server performance.

  • @Kratos360Aurion BFV was abandoned right after the pacific campaign. Too bad too as it was actually a great expansion. V never had a good anti cheat, and real hackers in large numbers did ruin it. I still don’t okay that one anymore, it belongs to the hax now. 2042 has either a way better anti cheat or it’s just not popular enough. I think it’s a decent anti cheat, but it’s possible I’m just in a good region (west coast North America) I’ve seen very little cheating, however I’ve seen a horrible amount of poor netcode, desync, lag, etc. I’m on PC. While M&K does offer greater precision, you still need to control it. It should 100% be available to consoles if they want. Be careful if you choose a peripheral that allows M&K, I’m pretty sure it’s viewed as cheating and could get you in trouble. Personally I don’t think it’s worth it. Sadly the game remains borked and I have low expectations that this dev team can right the ship. I’d be happy to be wrong!

@ATFGunr Using it isn't necessarily cheating, but if you abuse it to the point of being obvious, same as PC cheats, you'll probably get reported.

It's misinformation to say they can autoaim because they never see the screen or software. Macros are possible, although their benefit varies.

@59hushy6ywi8 I didn’t indicate anything about auto aim, not sure where you got that. It does allow removal of recoil and of course macros. Macros can be used by both PC and the peripherals. Macros are considered cheating, as they modify the game from the intended purpose. Cheats are cheats IMO.
