In the end, what number of new and remastered maps would be enough for you?
With BF2042 and the additional Battlefield Hub each having their own studio behind them, as well as a live service that could potentially go on for a few years, what number of new maps (for the main game) and remastered maps (for the Hub) would be satisfactory for you after the live service has ended?
Personally, 20 new and 20 remastered maps would feel like an "ideal" amount (even more would obviously be better).
For the Hub, there's so many great maps from previous titles that 20 could easily be chosen - it's gonna make 2042 feel like two games in one. For the main game, as the live service expands the lore of 2042 I'm sure we'll see an increase in different world locations and environments. With the maps being huge in size there's the question of how "easily" and quickly they can be created and released.
I also hope all gamemodes are created to accommodate as many maps as possible, if not all, throughout the live service instead of simply being abandoned with a limited roster (BFV's Grand Operations for example).
Feel free to also include what maps you'd like to see return for the Hub.
