I'm curious to know what everyone's opinion is on the current state of Battlefield 2042. I have come across many issues playing the game, and constantly find myself coming back like an abused spouse. Clearly this isn't a great relationship right now. Furthermore I figured if enough people comment on this thread we can get EA's attention and see if we can get some changes faster. And if the game doesn't start changing things up, I'm going to start shorting EA Stock and get my money back from the pre-order.

I basically don’t play it. was expecting a great updated battlefield game.instead I got an interpretation of battlefield seemingly desined by a stuck up, pencil pushing, arrogant, scheming, narcissistic rip off merchant that used the Battlefiled franchise as a way to make them selves feel important and special but actually just straight up ruined a working formulathat’s how I feel about this game, that I got ripped off on. im waiting for the updates, that may or may not change my current very very negative opinion of this game. And I will change my opinion if they remedy some of the worst offending design decisions, such as the atrocious match making implememtion, server browser, hardcore servers and (not going to hold my breath) scoreboard. they should be working on new maps, new scenarios, new content, which they may mistakenly think is going to fix the travesty this game is, but they really should be just fixing the bloody basicsPeople go on about how bad previous BF were and they took a year too fix. But that is not an excuse for this, this, whatever the hell this is supposed to be. They sold out. They think they know better, and are not going to listen, possibly the worst kind of management direction you can ever have in a company. I don’t have a problem with trying something new, but when you sell it as something old, then you get my anger, and my contempt for you. I will never ever buy a game In pre-release ever again. And I will only ever buy games in the sale in the future. They basically lied, changed the formula and sold us a cheap BF knock off. I am pissed.

It's not as broken as bf4 on launch, which should be more alarming than it sounds. Hitreg and matchmaking seem to be broken right now. The 'nearby medic' indicator is not accurate. Even though it's not as broken, I hate the direction that 2042 is taking Battlefield. These are deliberate design choices that make no sense in or worsen the Battlefield series.

@zschillzz It's the worst Battlefield, never had any issue with any of the previous titles, I even liked Hardline, i used to give the previous titles time till they're playable, but this one is an empty can at launch

I’ve had some issues with loadout blanking out, having to restart. Floating tanks, falling through the floor. Typically bugs that will get addressed. I don’t think sim assist works, but I can’t aim for toffee anyway. My wrath and anger is purely reserved for the creative direction decisions the game has made. Which are unforgivable.

@zschillzz I personally have no issues with the game and I enjoy playing it. A few bugs will pop up from time to time but nothing game-breaking.

@rippedwire01 Very true and thats a solid point, however my biggest complaint so far is the lack of gun control the game has. The amount of recoil on some weapons are on crazy levels.

What type of bugs are you referring too? I have encounter plenty of bugs, in one instance I've gotten stuck inside elevators and couldn't get out.

It is in a much better state than Battlefield 4 and 5 was at this time in it's life. The quick succession of patches between release and the Christmas holidays saved it from being flat out unplayable.
I am hopeful this means that most of their time will be spent on bugs, balance and content rather than months being spent just trying to get the game to run like the aforementioned titles.
The biggest issue for me right now is performance and how the game fails to balance CPU/GPU load properly.
Gameplay wise I think it's mostly just balance issues. I have no issue with specialists or the new kit system so I'm quite enjoying how the game plays for the most part right now.

@zschillzz One time I had couldn't choose a specialist at the start of the round. One was I couldn't ADS after exiting a tank. A crash here and there. Nothing game-breaking on my end.
