@Ironhead841I agree about the specialists.
A big part of the problem, is that the vehicles weapons are too strong against infantry.
Instead of just reducing the number of vehicles, Dice should nerf the vehicles damage against infantry (remove 50 mm cannons and 'anti-personel-rockets'), which would make them less of 'farming machines', then they could increase their number again.
The vehicles were too dominant and this would make too many players use counters against them. Reduce the dominance of vehicles (nerf the weapons) and less infantry uses rockets...
In the old games you had to sacrifice a bit of infantry effectiveness to use anti-tank weaponry, now you don't at all. By default almost everyone picks the launcher.

Agreed. You have absolutely zero chance in a tank. By the time you even turn your turret to kill a Lis, the next Lis looking at you, and the third Lis kills you. Its just constant rocket spam and a useless pick to choose a tank. Condors/hinds are the only vehicles in the game now...really poorly balanced.

Agreed. Though the game is much more enjoyable for infantry, there is still an underlying issue with balance in this game especially around vehicles. Vehicles have lost a bit of the "rock, paper, scissors" balance where now Transports are capable of dealing solid damage and AA tanks are just well-rounded. Then you have Jets mixed in with Attack Helicopters as a category.
On top of it, Specialists that have no Class structure are just able to rep a rocket launcher no matter the class they choose and be overly versatile. Thus making many vehicles a death trap. Its odd where we went from BFV where we could have more vehicles on certain maps for 64 players than we do for 128 players in 2042 because the overall system was much better balanced including the ability to actually damage and temporarily disable parts of a vehicle such as tracks and turrets. Vehicles felt strong in BFV but were manageable to handle with their varying weaknesses as well.
