@Anti-Tank-Killer Chemical smoke seems to be effective against incoming locks only if you launch it while stationary. If you the move the first projectile seems to still hit you.
However it has a very long reload so when you are being attacked by a chopper or scout they will load their next 2 missiles before your protection is back.
So all the chopper or scout needs to do is play the waiting game while peppering you with their other projectiles.
I have posted before how tanks need APS added more than ever given the increased anti tank threats.
I guess we will have to see how Dice want to position tanks in 2042.

- 4 years ago@Tank2042Man This only serves to make the problem more blatant, sitting still is always a death sentence, someone is going to run up with explosives while you try to hide in very unreliable smoke. At this point I feel with the added amount of players and force projection an individual has the potential to output with additional squad member spawning, an active protection system should be standard especially given that a kit is still 95% intact even if someone pulls a rocket launcher, while splash damage is iffy at best currently. This would at least help with some issue of constantly being overwhelmed with rocket spam since infantry do not have to deal with long reload times, orientation. terrain to point and angle weapons properly as well as overheating and are much more mobile compared to your heavier vehicles.
So yes, I agree.
