Have to say BF2042 IS a massive disappointment, not what I had expected or hoped for.I dislike the whole menu system, very clunky and not intuitive at all.I hate not having a server browser and having to join games which invariably end shortly after joiningand then to crown it all after the round it starts the whole matchmaking ritual all over again. Boring ........I cannot choose to join a map I would like to play and have ended up playing the same maps time after time.Never get the chance to run through the the maps in order its all totally random and very annoying.I can't favourite a server.There is no proper scoreboard.And now I am unable to join a game due to this Unable to load persistence data issue.

@ReconAvenger I mean I'm happy that you're enjoying it, but why pay full price for a new game only to play the older games that came with it? Seems pretty scummy as a business practice. Then again most video game companies are just focused on squeezing the most money for the least amount of effort and * over the very people who made the franchise popular in the first place.

@MogwaiWarrior You actually make a really good point. I seriously hope a lot of these issues, like the * poor selection of firearms and lack of server browser and a TDM mode, are only an issue because the official release hasn't been hit yet.

@RayD_O1 not being able to choose what map I want to play due to no server browser is my biggest issue. the persistence data issue is to be expected cause its launch day. the scoreboard also is annoying.

@RayD_O1 Must say that is one thing that has really bothered me- who decided that not giving us a server browser was a good idea and why would Dice agree to that.
I have no idea what map I am going to join and do not even know if we are only joining servers from our respective regions ie. European.

Again after 90 minutes play have only played 2 different maps and 3 times it has been Orbital.

I can definitely see people gravitating to Portal at this rate as at least then u will know what the map rotation is.

@ZappBrannigin I see how it would be a problem for people trying to enjoy the AoW experience. I see my self exclusively in Portal so it hasn't been an issue.

Not having a map selection is insane I cant believe they don't have that option. Hopefully they make some changes to the whole menu structure. Also need to add joystick support trying to find away to emulate a xbox controller now. PC players don't usually use xbox controllers!
