Matchmaking in BF2042 is just super aint it?

Me. "Hey, that SMG Rush looks cool, I'm going to check it out."

BF2042. "Neat, how about Caspian Border?"

Me. "Nah, too much distance between MCOMs, let's do a different map."

BF2042. "You sure?"

Me. "Yep, pretty sure. Too much running on Caspian"

BF2042. "Ok, if you're sure."

Me. "I am, I said I want a different map."

BF2042. "Ok, let's see what we got here, hey how about Caspian Border?"

Me. "Wait...what? No, I want a different map!"

BF2042. "I don't think you do...."

Me. "Uhm YES, I do."

BF2042. "Ok how about Caspian Border?"

Me. ".........." hit's ALT+F4

And if any of you think I am exaggerating, here's the video.

    Ok I'll give it a shot, this is usually how I can get a different map though, it just won't do it today for some reason..

    And you have got to admit there IS a better way....🙂

    Kidding aside, I have had 6 Hourglass maps in a row. I can't stand that map!

    This really needs a fix!

    Hey @Ironhead841,

    While I do understand that this can cause some inconvenience or frustration, I may be able to explain this behaviour of the game. I'll try to keep it short and concise.

    It is possible that this may be caused by you wanting to re-matchmake for the same mode every time within a few seconds, leaving the game with the Map (and Game Mode) still 'cached' and therefore the game thinks you want to play that mode on that map (in that server) again.

    You can most likely prevent this by waiting a little longer before matchmaking again, or first trying to matchmake for a different Game Mode.

    I just wonder how many man hours we have wasted trying to get to play something we like.?

    It really shouldn't be this hard or so frustrating in a BF title in 2023. !

    @sk1lldI think what Leeuw is saying is click on a different mode, what until it finds a game, then stop before the map loads and go back to the mode you wanted. I’ll be trying that later. Seems stupid to have to keep using workarounds when we all know the solution is a server browser. Worth a shot though, thanks for the suggestion EALeeuw.
