@No1StingerUserUK So, as someone who was artillery IRL with knowledge on how guided ballistics work with mortars and artillery, your idea is impossible. 50m is literally around a 5-6 second sprint for a high school athlete. A projectile that's just a larger bullet would go that distance in like 0.2 sec. It's actually a guided rocket propelled munition still, although just slightly.
The round is always fired at high angle and once it hits max elevation, the rocket portion takes over for the precision guiding and then goes to it's location. The only way for it to make sure it hits it's desired target(s) is to make it a variable timed fuse warhead and have it explode at a certain elevation with metal darts or just basic shrapnel to hit a large area. Or just do a basic shake and bake. Do an artillery method call a sweep and clean which is pound an entire grid by grid area with white phosphorous and immediately follow-up with a larger based sweep and clean with HE (high explosive) to ignite the white phosphorous (shake and bake).
And, dooooon't include Hardline with any other Battlefields... it wasn't even made by Dice ffs! It's a disgrace to be included with the other BFs!

I think if we're being honest a lot of things already in Battlefield are impossible in real life. 2042 being set in the near future only gives them more artistic license in that respect.
I don't think it's inconceivable science could produce a weapon like the one I described. Maybe just tweak the numbers a bit.

I like it.....
However, it already exists, it's called Aim Assist!
Petition to add Aim Assist to PC? It's only fair if there's crossplay...
