The class specialist named Casper, according to the websites summary of him, has something to do with designating targets for lock on weapons.
I think there is much more to come about spotting and target acquisition. Everyone seems to have missed the row of led indicators on the K30 on the gameplay video (see pic in my K30 thread). I think we'll find there are a bunch of new mechanics in this area.
