sometime AA gun is annoying , i suggest , in BF2042, it just need to increase /boost the anti air weapon dmg or alike gadget, so even a team with weak air units(players), it will balance from missing anti air AA gun . it should boost air fight experience in BF2042

There will probably be many threads about balance between air and ground as usual. It's not Dice's strongest side.

With more air vehicles than ever, it may be important to have a good AA

@GVlXxf I do think it needs to be a challenge to bring down the heavier aircrafts, and some way to boost certain characters for the task, like Support class in BFV had slower overheating. I was initially sceptical of the aircrafts OP after the Beta - which is typical of any BF title - but since i have seen videos of helis being taken down with both sniping and grapple hook. Sniping is fine, but grapple hook is a bit silly IMHO, and should be reduced/removed in favor of upping the AP ammo damage.A full string of LMG AP ammo in a Nightbird makes almost zero damage, and even if it prevents the self healing, it is just not good enough. A full clip of well placed AP LMG ammo should at least be enough to scare off a nightbird, after all it is supposed to be Armour Penetrating.

@GVlXxf The only thing I hate about AAs is when they camp at base. Other than that, I don’t believe in needing anything

I love LOVE LOVE flying helicopters in BF4. Their controls where awesome (hint hint hint dice). What I didn’t like was getting pelted by some chicken sitting in his spawn with the AA and unfortunately 85% of games were that.
I think AA is good to prevent spawn camping by enemy helicopters (Shenghai) but I imagine just like in BF4. There are several options for taking out aircraft (stingers).

personally I got really good at taking down aircraft with tanks. My best friend enjoys sniping pilots. I just feel like AA can be massively OP. I hear what people are saying about BFV. I not sure AA was a result of its abuse on BF4.

what I do know is there more then likely be a awhole host of options on bf2042
