Mackay is Canadian and the garb is typical central Canadian cowboy - that makes more sense than a Santa Clause outfit (tough if I'm being honest I quite enjoy both outfits minus the hat).
Outfits like this are what we should expect from a Battle Pass type system - you don't need to wear em of you don't want to

you dont even see your own character dude. Its about 128 clint eastwoods and santa running around the "post apocalyptic battlefield of the future" where Russia and USA are fighting. Whether or not I wear it has zero impact on me. I guess the only exception is duing a takedown? When else do I see my character in game.
Its just out of place to see it - period. Whether I wear it or not.
- 4 years ago@M0istGamer I don't know why people continue to bring up the Santa outfit they showed, considering it's now January so if they were to even go through with releasing it, it wouldn't be until December of this year.
And by that time, if they do add in other wacky skins, it would just feel like another skin they have thrown into the barrel.
- ATFGunr4 years agoLegend@TTZ_Dipsy As a Canadian myself the skin is crap. Mac style jackets went out in the 80s. It’s also stupid. It’s bad enough the actual uniforms are more hero based COD bs, this skin is just a costume. I’m all for new things, but the series is trying sooo hard to be everything to everybody, and that’ll never work. They need to pick a lane, not meander all over the place. Every meander drops more players. It’s not a bad game, I enjoy playing it, but it’s not really Battlefield. Not yet anyway. It could be. Maybe. What’s next? Mandalorian armor skins? Big Bird from Sesame Street? Still no server browser, VOIP or scoreboard and they’re dropping skins like this? It’s frustrating as a player.

I hope they will be releasing some decent skins soon, like actually military looking ones...
