There is a known issue with cross play on, with cross play off it is a different game all together. Unfortunately, hardly anyone plays with cross play off so getting into a game is a chore.

This is why i play the ps4 version of the game on my brand new PS5.
No PC players. Insta kills. I know it seems the same the other way around. Dice needs to solve this. No crossplay please. The tech is just not there.
I wish it was better. Feel like one or the other has the advantage
