Even the best "incentives" do not force people to conform to one style of play. You simply can't control how people play unless you have a private server and control access and rules.
I suspect the best a game can do is implement tools that help you control your own "squad" and the members with whom you team up with and the ability to remove undesirables from those individual groups. The same would go for improved vehicle control (Access, etc.)
In this regard BF2042 has failed.
Don't worry about the rest, they are very easy to ignore.

@mrtwotimesI don't agree that we have to "force" people into one playstyle. Players can be extremely useful for the team in many different ways and playstyles.
Its just that people are actively playing against the game rather than with the game.
An example is long-range snipers. Sitting 700m in the back, getting killed by enemy snipers again and again. Getting less than 5 kills a game, 0 objectives captured, 0 points for the team.
These people are playing the wrong game. There are other games that welcome this type of gameplay. Tarkov, Arma, even Warzone where you can take a sniper and camp somewhere on the hill sniping others 1000m away.
Also these guys. I mean, what the F are they thinking?

I get off on killing people far away.
