Its insane how releasing a free battlepass bricked the entire 2042 , at this point i would much rather have the battlepass removed than not being able to play the game , like i do not enjoy the 2042 maps and t he only enjoying i get from the game is playing the portal mode of the older bf games , but i cant do that anymore because literally 49/50 servers are AFK XP farms
I hope BF 6 portal has golden era BF and bad company(s)!
But I don't think they'd Turn off battle pass, Dice wouldn't want to **bleep** off too many ppl and have a drop in 2042 player base early, they want that 100K only in steam count and 550K overall player base like beta, and least amount of people angry will ensure best chances of that . . .
The pass actually got me motivated to learn to fly in BF 2042 (it's harder than BF1 or maybe I was used it back then since I did fly Rise of Flight). BF6 I didn't much chances to try it, and it was crash and burn and team laffs, "Welcome to Battlefield, that grrl got her first BF moment, congratz!!" But BF 4202 flying is hard also, yet I know BF 6 maybe different, but there is some cross over.
I really want portal too, because to avoid amazing crazy good people that kill me too fast in MP, means I can't get ribbons which XP seems to move the XP pips for the battle pass, but in portal games with AI bots and less crazy good players I can get more ribbons.
Well i hope they figure out something, because guess what's going to happen in bf6 with portal, People will figure out xp farm spam to level up quick and it will be flooded there aswell.

I've merged your thread with this larger existing one about the situation.
I agree that the difficulties with starting a Portal server is annoying (it was over 5 minutes each time for me last night), but I can't see Dice removing the free Battlepass due to it myself.
It is not only that you can‘t open a server or better said open it with a lot of patience and spamming.
The server lag since then, CQC or Portal is no difference. i expect that this is related?!
