Please make infantry only maps

With the amount that 128 players was hyped up, i really expected it to be great. But all it causes is problems, from boring and empty maps to cater to the increased player count, bad optimisation, ridiculously hectic areas which makes it un fun, and huge maps that make you play running simulator. PLEAASEEE give us infantry only maps. Something like metro or locker would be amazing, maybe even 64 players again. I just want to be able to spawn and fight infantry straight away and not have to hike across the entire map looking for people, or when i do get to an objective theres literally 100 players on the one objective. And i know portal exists, but lets be honest and understand that when you make a server youre not always going to get people to join. Also, just making the 2042 maps smaller and callingnit infantry only does not work as good as a map thats specifically made for infantry. Please give us this.

The lack of a small map like in Metro is certainly a complaint.
Have you ever seen a shotgun user? I never have.
The maps in 2042 are large and tend to focus on medium to long range combat, which tends to limit the variety of weapons even more.
I didn't buy this game to get sick of snipers and hovercrafts, so I'm hoping for at least one map where I can enjoy intense close combat.

I made an infantry only Portal server yesterday with 2042 factions and few classic favourite maps, left the server going for 3 hours and not a single person joined lol

@DeathChinpo Yep. I thought it would be fine bc we have portal, so i tried to make a tdm game on noshahr but literally no one joined, so thats great.

This is a good idea, especially since I can choose a gadget other than, you know, a launcher.

@Broeday I would be happy with a remake map of metro lol or even lockers I just want to play a match and not spend most of my time being blown up by helos or tanks/hovercrafts also would love to try a different gadget as atm its imperative you have a launcher

Im just not sure if i would rather they do what they did in bf5 and remake it and add it to all out war, or if they just remaster the original and add it to portal. I kinda want both, or just add the remaster to aow too which probably wouldnt happen unfortunately

@RipGroove99 Portal is totally broken at the moment and Dice more or less killed it for the time being (by removing xp/progression from custom games).

It will hopefully be back and working, so people will join again.

@cso7777 Yeah hopefully. And no doubt a CQB grind map or two will be added at some point like it always is. BFV didn't get Underground until some time after launch IIRC.

I am sorry but I stuck with battlefield because I hate infantry only maps gameplay. I am here for combined arms warfare
Thanks to portal (once they make it work properly and have progression), you will be able to make any map into infantry only if is your preference.
You will also be able to go back and play in all the Operation Clusterflak and its derivatives as well if you love so much being that guy (hilarious BF4 video ).
I am sorry if I sound abrasive but this is the first BF game where all can have both their cake and eat it without contaminating each others map playlists
