On console you can switch to the other team.
This is abused all the time.
People who are on the losing team switches to the winning team, leaving the losing team even worse off.
Please remove the switch team ability from BF2042 if it’s still there, or change it so you can only switch to the losing team.

Both in BF4 and BF1 it has been a terrible problem throughout, as its sadly often the most experienced and strongest players even abusing the team switch option. Trust EA will keep the block from BFV in place also for the BF2042 game!
Actually ideally, then it should be possible to switch to the loosing team side, as we are often doing that with success to help a weaker team out of aka spawn r@pe situation, and there its great to help a weaker team to rebound and keeping the game more fun for everybody. 🙂
@MarcosEMR1 @VOLBANKER_PC @CloudMcRip @CyberDyme Sorry to say that it is still possible to do in BFV as well, but only if you're on Xbox. You don't even need a friend on the other team, just a free slot. You just open the scoreboard and select player names until you find someone with a space in their squad, you then select the 'Join Game' option on their Xbox profile.
Perhaps they've been able to sort that out for 2042 though.

They removed in Battlefield 5 and it honestly caused more issues than it solved.
The last games i saw this option was in BF4 and BF1, in BFV it was already removed.
But usually if the teams are already too unbalanced, it won't let you switch anyways. (maybe only if it's a custom/rented server with other settings)
But as in Battlefield 2042 Bots should fill empty slots, it may not be that easy that too many people switch teams if a Bot spawns in at some point and block a slot.
But time will tell. 🙂
