It is a random event that adds nothing to the game.We have been close to taking flags when this random nonsense comes in and removes us from the flag.I have now just seen a storm sweep across a Breakthrough map right across the defenders position. Result? Position lost.The storm doesn't add anything.All it does is remove skill and FPS.

Bad luck happens. I say keep it. These tornadoes are not hard to work around anyway. I understand that the original concept was to have earthquakes and volcanic eruptions as well. I'd like to see that on a map! Too bad DICE got cold feet on it.

Storm is fine. Tornado should go though. Feels like someone's pet project at Dice that got tossed into the game for marketing purposes. Just a gimmick that wore out quickly. Doesn't even change the environment like events of previous games, sometimes doesn't even pass over the populated areas of the play area.

@Ai-FluffyHave you played the BF series before? They’ve had a levolution concept baked into a number of games. Flooding, towers collapse, etc. it’s intended to be a random element that changes how the map plays from time to time. They fact that it washed away a force allowing a point to either fall or be saved as a random element is actually pretty cool. It’s a game. It’s not real life or even a milsim. While it’s not as cool as being able to summon a Megaladon, it’s an interesting feature and I am 100% confident they’ll not be taking it out. I would love for there to be a sharknado in the game, can you just imagine! Haha that would be awesome.Frankly there is so much else broken that’s far more critical, I’m glad you enjoy the game enough as is to be able to * about the tornadoes.

@cso7777 whats wrong with the call ins from bfv? Actually rewarding squad play. You say calling arty or a V1 on the objective hinders ptfo? I guess it would if your on the receiving end

@fragnstein With the unbalanced mess BFV is, the call-ins are often just punishing the loosing team even further.Trying to capture a flag, that is being constantly hammered by rockets/arty by the enemies just feels stupid.

Adding "Shark-Nados" might be just as realistic as real military units do not fight in tornados, dust storms, and heavy rain with limited visibility.
Such is a thing of fantasy movies and fantasy video games.
Battlefield could use a reality check on multiple fronts, weather included...

@Noodlesocks Dice has all these 'gimmicks' that end up making the game less fun.

Endless fog in BF1, Behemoths in BF1, V2 rockets in BFV (arty-strikes as well), AC130 in BF3/BF4, Cruise Missiles in BF4 etc

Things that 'breaks up' gameplay ends up being annoying. The first couple of times you experience them it can be fun, but then it quickly becomes old.

Too often these things ends up hindering PTFO and that just makes the game even less fun to play.

@JasonVoorHeesxD Have you guys ever played TDM? No vehicles. No tornados. Empty, boring gameplay. All these weather elements and vehicles add a lot vibe to the game (for me at least).

@DaveTheBrave_USA Earthquakes and volcanoes would have been cool. What if you could call something in? Do you use a tornado to clear out that first point or save it until the last point in Breakthrough. Or call in an earthquake at C1 when you’ve got a few troops trying to take it. Each team only gets one per round, and you need a certain percentage of players to call it in. Kind of like the old Nuke option.
