I understand your logic but that's how crossplay works on all (or most) of the games if I am not mistaken.
Also, ONLY the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions of Battlefield 2042 support 128 player servers.
Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, cap player counts at 64 due to hardware limitations.
They would probably have a problem filling up servers without the console folk, same situation on COD.
You can turn crossplay off and getting into matches is no problem at all. Also having crossplay between ps5 and Xbox series x is possible and would require little to no work on EA’s side as well and there are literally dozens of games that do this flawlessly. PC should be PC only in my opinion because it is literally not fair at all when it comes down to it and honestly it’s not because of any of the hardware but the network cards. The cards in consoles are slower than almost all builds that would be on a compatible PC for the game.
yes leave the crossplay option but they can and should have a PS5 and series X and they could even have a server that supports all 4 the PS4 and 5 and the X1 and XSeries. All possible with little to no effort on EA’s side.
