Re: Balancing Vehicles with new Mechanics

When will you stop nerfing vehicles. In all previous parts of the BF, equipment trampled infantry in batches and everything was normal. Now, all of a sudden, everyone believes that ground and air equipment is excessively strong. Descend from the sky, in BF2042 vehicles are orders of magnitude more vulnerable to infantry compared to the previous parts. The infantry should deal with the infantry and partly drive the equipment away from the fields. You on the map from 32 or more helmets against 1 tank. The fact that you can't deal with one stray tank is a team problem, not a balance problem.
It is more difficult with helicopters, but all of them can also be easily driven away and destroyed, and do not forget that he has other targets besides infantry and they are much more dangerous than a couple of infantrymen with stingers. What is worth only one Railgun that thrashes through the entire map from respawn.

I definitely agree that vehicles don't need a nerf if anything they need some new equipment and weapons and weapon tuning to make them more viable in the field.

The reason first this is that there is way little vehicular combat when it comes to vehicles versus vehicles not enough attack air vehicles such as Attack Choppers, jets and the respawn time is atrocious for them.

The effectiveness of these vehicles are underperforming such as the 30mm cannon on the Attack Chopper.

    • Little splash damage that requires you to hit the target directly to do any damage
    • The rate of fire is that of a 50mm which is so slow for a 30mm
    • It overheats dramatically fast making gunners wait half time just for it cool down and reheat after 7 to 8 shots
    • The overall damage on impact is so low you need about 3 to 4 shots just to score a kill not to mention that  30mm are supposed to have splash damage as well
    • The minigun for example is inaccurate and overheats exaggerating fast the damage is fine because if the accuracy and overheat issue is resolved it makes it perfect not to strong but not weak either

Armored vehicles are another lacking in numbers people would argue saying that there is to many vehicles but the majority are scout vehicles like the LATV recon and the hovercraft.

The Armored vehicles quickly get taken out by infantry and just like you said it's a skill issue not a balance problem, so when there are vehicles at play the team incentive is ti detriy then which thanks to the new class system makes engineers really useful.

But what do you all think I'm truly interested about everyones feedback because I want thus to really feel like a true battlefield game
