Re: BF2042 Soldier Weapons Loadout - Do we get what we want?
These Specialties and Traits are unique to their respective Specialist, which for your Loadout means you can now fully customize it to your liking:
- Primary Weapon
- Equipment (items anyone can use such as a Medical Crate or Supply Crate)
- Secondary Weapon
- Throwable (such as Frag or Incendiary Grenade)
That was on the briefing page, so the suggestion seems to be you have to choose to build your character as having ammo or health supplies to give out and presumably give up your rocket launch slot to it.
Combing "melee" explosives with specialist perks to give you a ranged explosive option, may be how it's designed to not take away from anti vehicle if you want to go full support.
I'd also like to know if you can get them from any other sources though, like vehicles or supply places.
Also want to see how you change your gadget loadout or character mid game.
I do like the idea of building out your own characters kit how you like though, BFV was way too restrictive and half the time you couldn't help a character on your team due to not having the right stuff eg repair tools or spotting things, and it sucked to just sit around watching people die. The same with weps and being forced into a certain engagement range by class choice was also annoying to me.
Though it does feel like the more switched on players may end up having to carry ammo if the zombie folk don't, be interesting to see how people build characters with free rein though.
Think medic's are more likely to exist due to the specialist perk unless there's one for ammo too, and annoyingly the guy in the trailer lept off the roof ignoring the only person who needed reviving =\ but on the up side he wasn't rolling around like he was alive so hopefully no playing dead this game.
