Re: Do I Need PS4 Plus if I Want to Play on PS4? Battlefield 2042

EA scam? if anything it's Sony, not EA, since non of the PS Plus money go to EA.

Every multiplayer game on PS4 require PS Plus to play, I'm not sure why you want to buy the game for PS4 if you don't have PS Plus... however, this game have an offline mode with bots, I think this mode is avilable without PS Plus.

Also, even if it had BR, it's not a free BR game like Apex, it's like BFV, which mean it's a only a game mode, only FREE BR games don't require PS Plus.

In general, the MP mode is the main mode of all Battlefield games, even if the have a campign, if you want to get it on PS4, you need PS Plus, if you don't want a subscription, either get a PC or choose a single player game, I only play SP games on my consoles, so I don't have either PS Plus or Xbox Live.

@mathematics654* hate this industry man i am tired of getting hyped for this *. I am under age i cannot buy a good pc able to run it or pay ps4 plus unless i buy a card because my parents are highly scared of the Internet. Meaning that this is another amazing game i won't be able to play because of Sony making me pay extra to play a game that is entirely multiplayer based. And yeah true Sony's scam EA loves the micropayments. Thanks for the response tho.

@UndoneInternet There are many stores that sell PS Plus cards, while I'm not underaged, I'm not that into digital shopping as well, the only websites I trust are Netflix, Origin and (by much lower level) Steam, I assume you are going to get the game physical, in the store where you buy the game, you can proboly get a PS Plus card, also, you don't need to buy the battle passes at all, those are only cosmetics, you better off getting a PS Plus card instand.

@UndoneInternet Is there any chance your parents would reconsider or reach a compromise - there are parental controls or they could supervise, for example? It does seem a shame so thought I'd ask.

@mathematics654 Yeah i mean most likely i will buy a card of 1 year soon then after a rest of 4 months or so game will come out my parents will accept using another 60 euros or more on the game and then i may use the card and play for 1 year before having to buy another one. I can ofc always buy a cheaper one but it will last less. And yeah i buy physical games too it feels special and i trust it more and i don't really have much more options can't wait to start working and just do whatever to play such amazing game and have fun with it if it isn't dead already ofc. That is another shame by the day i will do it myself i may need new generation consoles to play them but i hope the community does it job in keeping it alive.
  • @ElliotLH The problem is not parental control they just don't trust online shopping and don't want to pay 5 a month for Plus because they say i should have enough with a PS4 and games and the game itself will be expensive already and they won't accept to pay even more to play they will find it as unfair stupid and a scam which i do too. And a PC is too expensive for them to even consider it. I will find a way out to play even if its for not a so long time with some card ty for the response tho didn't expect to get any so quickly.

@UndoneInternet Ah I've got you now. Thought you were in a similar situation to when I was young (many, many, many years ago) where my parents were just not keen on the Internet in general. Took a long time to talk them around.

Hopefully you can find some way of enjoying it still.
