@L0NGSHOT93 hit reg is , jakcfrag shows it on his one of the latest videos (YouTube link > /MZkbvUKPo_I ). As I know DICE already work to fix that and maybe it will be fixed in closest patch

  • I seen that video. It's crazy, what my thing is, it seems to have gotten worse with the heli 20mm/30mm since the last patch.

    Its because there are crybabies saying the 20mm and 30mm is too OP. So the devs nerfed these things in the patch and now we have broke vehicles.

    The attach chopper is a "Soldier killer" if you read the vehicles tab. Now it aint anymore.

    It seems devs listen to 10% instead of 90%

    An attack chopper should be deadly and not shooting cotton buds from the sky. I too realized this after the patch. People need to adapt to their surrounding instead of demanding nerves on certain things.

    Next nerf will be the M5C bolte. Same story because people will cry. In fact the M5c bolte has very light armor and easy to destroy still they will cry about the 30mm capabilities.

    And again the information of the use of these vehicles say in the vehicles tab "Soldier killer"

    So as being a soldier on the field you gotta watch out for these things. But instead people will ask for a nerf which will destroy the game.

  • I was just saying the same thing. People get butt hurt because they die like they should when getting hit by a HV projectile with fragmentation properties. We'll see how broke things get now. Downloading update 3 as I speak.

    After update and restart. Immediately got persistent data load failure. But that was fixed with a second restart.

    I can say the MBolte 30mm damage, when the hit reg doesn't get you, is still good. No nerf on the firepower aspect that I can tell, seems to have more mobility after receiving a critical hit now.

    I'm trying the helis now. Will update as follows.

    Still firing a whole burst from the hokum 30mm to kill one person. 

    Can say that it seams the repair system is a little more responsive then before, I'll have to test it a little more in combat tho to be sure.

    @L0NGSHOT93 Much more annoying then 30mm/50mm is Bolte with 30/50 and they did nothing to it. There is only one situation when my butt pain a lot, when attack heli is really high and the only way to take it out is by using heli or jet, AA doesn't work because of the same problem as it's written above.... hit reg. Sometimes it looks like bullets not reaching target that are

  • @plfrost22 I have noticed the range of AA. If I'm roughly 500m up the AA rounds stop short but the drop off on that is the same as the range returning fire with the 20mm/30mm so that part doesn't bother me honestly. It allows you to have the air superiority if the opposing team doesn't have good pilots to counter you.

    @L0NGSHOT93 Definitely some of the vehicles are unbalanced and for sure most of them (if not all of them) have an upgrades missing.

    For example, I think bolte is too tough, it should be destroyed with two M5/Tank shots.
    Attack heli can go like thousands meters above the ground and make game completly unbalanced (not in every game you can find amazing pilot) so imo soflam should should have a greater vertical range, horizontal can be the same.
    BF42 is set few years after BF4 and.... did you notice there is no thermo/night vision in tanks/scopes? why I can choice between two suppressors that do the exacly same job and have same stats but I'm not able to set thermal scope.

    BF42 is unfortunately unbalanced in every direction, vehicles, weapons, maps (breakthrough). To be honest I feel like I play Battlefield 4 early pre-alpha tests with better graphic and with operators instead of classes. That's make me sad but... I still play this game

    I can write about everything what is missing in this game, maybe if I get more free time I will make a video called "What Battlefield 4 can do but Battlefield 2042 can't "

    I hope they will fix hit reg and poor optymalization vary fast and then I expect to see features/gadgets/weapons that was in BF4 but isn't in BF42

    @Joayubi Well, maybe now the attack heli wont sit at max altitude and just rain cannon shells on infantry while they are out of range for infantry to shoot back.

    Game is almost unplayable as infantry because the maps are only made for vehicle farming and not for infantry game play.

    Any buff to vehicles will just dig the hole deeper for Dice and they will loose even more players than they already have (was it 90% on Steam?).

  • @plfrost22 As far as the MBolte being as very armored I'd have to disagree. We're playing battlefield here, not call of duty. Armored vehicles such as that should retain some sort of armor rating. We shouldn't have armor vehicles on battlefield that are point, click, destroy. I'm sorry but that shouldn't be that way. When the hovercraft was as armored as it was for the vehicle it is, that was an instance where a vehicle armor rating wasn't matching what the vehicle was.

    Likewise for the distance that the rounds travel in regards to AA vs Air or the effective range for the soflam. Mirroring real life aspects of functionality is what sets battlefield apart from point and click shooters like call of duty. When you start to manipulate the effectiveness of properly armored vehicles or setting unrealistic range for certain things to match what players personal wants are takes away from the fight, the battle that you are tasked with when fighting certain vehicles.

    We have 20 people in vehicles just farming the rest of the players, vehicles should either be strong and in very low numbers or weak and in a high number. Otherwise you cannot mix infantry and vehicles. At the moment, there are too many vehicles with way too much armor and firepower. Trying to PTFO as infantry is very bad because a lot of flags has no real cover and no way of escaping the vehicles.

    Vehicle/infantry has never worked perfect in any BF game, but BF2042 takes things to a all time low.

  • @Psubond You have to factor in the aspect that certain things like this are possible in reality and this is battlefield, you should have the aspect that a vehicle such as an Apache can sit at a range greater than that in which a soldier can effectively counter. That's where other air vehicles play their role.
  • @cso7777 It shouldn't be about lowering the effective rating for vehicle armor and range to match that which someone feels a soldier should be able to counter, if anything a better argument would be to raise the effectiveness of AA Solider loadouts or Anti armor loadouts.
  • @cso7777 I suppose this factor changes in respect to the console you play on, I've seen on PC the map and vehicle sizes are greater than that of PS4. I've had no trouble countering any vehicle/Solider combination on PS4, just as long as you have the right team who knows how to focus objs or vehicles.

    @L0NGSHOT93 I don't know what Dice can do, but the game is not working in its current state and infantry game play is the worst of any BF game.

    A lot of this is due to map-design. But knowing Dice, they will not redesign the maps, so the only solution is limiting vehicles and making them either weaker, much easier to counter or reduce their numbers.

    And things like the current M5C doesn't work in a BF game, no matter what. Having that mobility and firepower is a total joke when playing against infantry.

    @L0NGSHOT93I play on PC with 128 players and the game is a total mess.

    I really miss 64 player modes and hope that Dice will introduce this, instead of 128 players which is just stupid.

  • @cso7777 See I think that a positive change in the effectiveness of soldiers with AA or Anti Armor loadouts would change this all together, you factor teamwork in with the proper focus fire on vehicles, it's almost as if there are no vehicles.
  • @cso7777 See the balance on PS4 seems right, but we do have 64 players, but take into mind the maps are smaller for the 64 player vs PC 128 player. Y'all have larger maps then us.
