Re: If I have bf2042 on my Playstation, How do I link it to PC.

Hey @Chaosboy303,

When you want to make use of cross-progression for Battlefield 2042, you indeed need to purchase the game separately on every platform you want to play the game on.

Eventually for making cross-progression work, you need to connect your PSN ID to your EA account where you play the game on your PC. I recommend doing this before you start playing, just to be sure.

This article on our website describes the best on how to link your console and EA account: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/link-your-console-accounts/

Hope this helps. 🙂

  • @EA_Leeuw why should we pay 2x the cost for a single game? we enjoy battlefield with our friends and should'nt be constricted to a single platform per payment. If indeed we do have to buy the game twice, i'd rather buy 2 different games for the 2 different platforms... just saying that this is a deterent tbh.

    Hey @markagarcia94,

    Thanks for the feedback!
But unfortunately, that's not how it works at the moment. 🙂

It's no different than having to buy music...

    1 for Record

    1 for Tape

    1 for CD

1 for Streaming *(different streaming platforms require their own purchases)

  • So I'm confused, I have xbox gamplay ultimate and when i click on play on my pc none of my stuff transfers over? I see an option to play on the cloud but when i do that i cant adjust any graphic settings (so the game is extremely blurry) but i get all of my unlocks. What's the point of being able to have gamepass to play everything but nothing transfers unless i spend another 60$

Can you send screenshots? I don't understand what you expect to transfer considering xbox and PC are two different platforms beyond your rank/unlocks. I wouldn't expect graphical settings to transfer between platforms.

  • I played bf2042 on ps4 and I linked my psn account to ea. I bought a pc lately and I got EA Play on Steam coz there was a discount. I linked my steam account to ea so that I was able to play. But I can’t get my progress and account on ps to sync with the one I have on pc. When I load the game on steam, it just logs in to my steam account instead of the psn one I linked to ea. How do I solve that or can I solve that?

I read the instructions given in the F&Q and followed the steps but it didn’t work.

  • I have purchased both the PC version and PS5 version and linked my accounts to both networks. I am unable to get access to my battle pass and my BFC when on my PC version. Everything I have unlocked is there it's just the battle pass and BFC I can't access. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Gexonomous BFC cannot be shared between platforms, but my understanding is that the Battlepass should. To confirm: is this the Season 7 Battlepass which was released yesterday?
  • This season and the previous 4 seasons I haven't been able to access the battle pass on PC even though I had paid for it on PS5.

  • The feedback should be considered.

Take for example my situation: I have a separate PS account to my EA account.

I have BF2042 installed on my PS4 through PS Play subscription.  A separate purchase ID.

I have bought another copy for use on my PC through my EA username.

Since linking my account to my PS4 account, the manager appears to believe I have only one game.  So I cannot play on my PC when my children are playing on the PS and vice versa.  These are two separate purchases.  Two separate accounts.  I linked them because I wanted an easy to play online with my kids, but it has since been just another ill considered account consolidation.

Unless there is a condition of PS Play versions of this game not supporting cross play (I.E deferring to the highest priced game purchase, occluding my own purchase on my EA account), then I cannot see why it is mistaking this for the same account now??  So idiotic.  Just another barrier to play.

@mista-mishto Also, it won't now let me open BF2042 inside of EA app on PC, as it gives me the error message, close game before exiting EA. This was after I unlinked my PlayStation accounts.
  • I have a slightly similar situation if you can guide me please. I am playing bf2042 on ps4 (purchased from my brothers account) but playing it with my user account which is linked to my EA account on pc. On my pc, I bought the game but unfortunately required to upgrade my pc to work but I don’t seem to find my progress when I open EA app on my pc. So I am asking if i should buy it from my ps4 account too to make cross-progression work or is there something causing my progress not showing on my EA app on pc. Thank you

Mr.markagarcia94 what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
