I think the map is ok. But the 2042 gameplay mechanics are so borked that it ruins it Imo..
2042 is too fast, too many gimmicky specialists with too many gimmicky gadgets.
Haven would have fit in well with Bad Company, Battlefield 3 type maps, with better destruction, it has the same colour palette as Talah Market BF3 DLC
I personally think they should just can this * of a BF and work on a Battlefield 3 remaster with all DLC.

Sort out the SPAWN !!
Map is so small, yesterday I spawned one metre from the Enemy -- instant DEATH !!!
Going to be about a week before I get a chance to check this out.
I'm most looking forward to the SRAW. Anyone have thoughts/experience with it yet?

New map is fine. Fun to play, but nothing special about it, unlike the prevous maps. Not enough covers, too; death can come from everywhere. Next one should be for 128 players.
But the gunplay... I don't know what you did, but now it feels like most automatic weapons are useless, because they won't do any real damage. This is almost unplayable, worst decision since that infamous TTK "correction" in BFV. Whatever it is, please revert it, it's horrible. No one - NO ONE - needs bullet sponges as enemies and pea shooters as guns. Realistic damage and what you call "faster bullets" is way better.

Played 2 matches on it yesterday, in both had several deaths spawning within about 2 feet of an enemy.
Granted, I don't know what the solution is, but it certainly isn't a great feeling to get gunned down within about 2 seconds.
- MackTKau2 years agoSeasoned Ace@AngrySquid270 It seems okay, but suffering from the same need to restock ammo makes it a non-starter for any serious anti-tank player vs playing as Liz.
Unless it has a much higher damage than a TGM I'm not sure it would be worth taking vs a TGM which regens ammo automatically, can be fired from long distances and from a location behind cover where you can't be shot (unless someone walks up to you at point blank range). - SharpGoblin2 years agoLegend

Spawns in this game already were horrendous, but this map emphasizes it even more!
Have some decent time in the new map now, mainly Conquest, but it's not addicting. After 2 games on Haven Conquest I switch to Conquest 64, something I did not do when Redacted went live in S6. Also played a couple of games Breakthrough and yes Attacker won every time.
Most points about the map have been covered already by either myself and others in this thread. Poor spawns, poor visibility, getting shot from multiple angles, vehicles seem out of place, AA is weak and completely useless positioned.
Broader S7 feedback; recoil change, why just why? Again same stupid mistake as with BFV, changing gunplay mechanics late in the game's lifecycle which literally NOBODY asked for.
C5 reduction for assault and recon removes a lot of fun.
