- Psubond4 years agoLegend@slizzard then by your logic AGMs should OHK a tank...if we're doing it by what would happen in real life that is.
anti material rifles exists for a reason
one of them is to disable a tank by shooting weak parts of it, i.e. less armored parts, tracks, rear...
- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@slizzard I mean, this ain't a milsim so no.
I swear vehicle drivers just want to play a game where they roll around like gods and can't be touched by infantry. While I don't think we should get rid of snipers as the OP suggested I do think it's dumb that the .50 can kill an armored tank. Disable a track maybe, but not blow it to bits.
@slizzard is this like your first Battlefield?
Because snipers have pretty much been annoying little turds since the original BF so I don't think they are going anywhere, lol.

Antitank weapons in BF games are generally pretty weak, having a sniper rifle with even less damage than rocket launchers, is not really an issue (balance-wise).
You can argue that these 'special' weapons often some distract people from PTFOing and that is perhaps the biggest issue, they are too specific / limited in use.

I wish they'd bring back the "sweet spots" on armor so you at least have a chance of taking them down from the sides or behind like you used to.
I've shot every M5 I had only to have armor shrug it off like it was nothing.
- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ironhead841 Tanks take 4 to kill, and we get 3 with the M5. It's ludicrous given that it's already hard enough to tag a tank with all 3 rockets without getting killed by the tank or other players, especially since vehicles can self-repair.
- @Ironhead841 oh i agree snipers are annoying im just tired of them all together lately last game i counted i had 15 snipers on my team just doing nothing they ruin the game. no ive played all the battlefield lines but they have never been this bad,
True I wouldn't mind seeing the self-repair go on all vehicles to be honest.
no mostly i like ground combat im only using a tank to get a weapon unlocked for it. its just really annoying. snipers have gotten so much worse these past few months.
- @DrimacusEUROCORP no AMR's should not kill a MBT. lightly armored tanks and other vehicles yep np
- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ironhead841 I'm fine with it, the problem is DICE * up vehicle balance by making matches have too many vehicles and allowing them to be pulled too quickly - at least on Breakthrough (all I play).
Vehicles should each be stronger individually and more impactful, making them actual mobile encounters for teamfights, and making taking one down feel like there's been a meaningful change on the battlefield for whatever team killed it. That's not how it works now, and vehicles instead act more like mindless force-multipliers like Max's in Planetside 2, except even worse since they're far less interesting and the rest of the game isn't designed with this in mind.
It honestly feels like DICE handled infantry and another team that wasn't on the same page built and balanced all the vehicles.
Seriously, this game was made with 4 different studios working on it and it FEELS like a game that was made by 4 different studios. Because none of them seemed to share a singular coherent vision, so you have conflicting design left resulting in a bad game. - @Ironhead841 i miss when you had to jump out and repair your vehicles. that was a little better.

I lost many a match because half the team was camping in the spawn sniping instead of leaving to go get flags.
That's why I always liked playing on community-run servers instead of public servers because that crap doesn't seem to happen as much.

Should have used a drone instead @Ironhead841 😉
- @Ironhead841 i recently found a community run server i really like. hopefully i can find it again
i wouldnt mind snipers if they were harder to play. and if they actuality helped the team. and i know there's a lot of others besides snipers that do the same thing. I liked having to hop out and either have a squad mate help repair or repair it yourself, the self-heal just seems cheesy.

LOL, yea I guess so.
Pilots and drivers have it so easy in this game they actually forget they can be killed!

@emerson1975I do not know...
This is the game that I have spent the most time as infantry out of all of them since I started in BF3.
Either I will lose the vehicle to something overwhelming like too many rockets/AA/meta helicrew or I will not be able to get when when I want one. - Psubond4 years agoLegend

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well played sir
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@slizzard And neither should a RPG. All the damage models in the game are way off. Or do I need remind everyone about how much damage a Bolte takes, and that is build from a little thicker tin, not armor.
- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@kregora Only thing that's not awful about the Bolte is that most of the people driving it are idiots that don't realize you can shoot them out of the driver/gunner seats. Shooting idiots outta there who think they're in an actual tank is hilarious.
Outside of that screw literally everything about the design of the Bolte. The game would genuinely be better off if it was removed wholesale. - AuMordum4 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
I wish they'd get rid of self repair and self healing. I don't even understand the point of the mechanic. OOPs too damage, better run off and hide for a second to heal up. don't need engineers or medics anymore, just wander off until you heal up. prettty damn dumb.
