Re: Stop Nerfing Vehicle Weapons

I would be more than ok with making vehicles not be able to self repair if it meant we could make things more realistic. I understand things need to be gamified, and not every game can be ArmA 3. But they have the ability to make games like that especially with this new gen of consoles (Hell Let Loose on PS5 now, for example). I just want game companies to make moves away from the CoD style arcade-feeling shooters and do something new and exciting. This is not very exciting and this vehicle nerf idea is just one of many things that make it less fun. Reward using cover and concealment, and using teamwork to take out vehicles, and make vehicles act more like support assets like they are and take away the things that make them one-man army type vehicles (But don’t take away self repair until they make it so one infantryman can carry 120 lbs of rockets to single-handedly take out a tank and they won’t need to self repair hahaha).

I still have to disagree that they are well balanced. I am a pretty damn good shot and pilot on this game, and flying was always my favorite in all of the BFs. But I frequently found myself using full gear cycles right on target and not killing anything. 20mm doesn’t need any splash damage if they do enough damage on the hit. Plus how is 4-6 hits with a 20mm balanced if two shots from a 7.62 mm rifle will kill? That just makes no sense. And every time I use the mini guns I’ve gotten 10+ hit markers and got nothing on one target plenty of times.

Again, I love the game and I play it quite often when I do get into a gaming session. It just could be so much better if they put the effort in to make something NEW and DIFFERENT rather than the same old arcadey shooters we’ve been inundated with recently. Hell Let Loose was a godsend in that respect because I could finally play a game like that with my console friends and have it be a (mostly) great experience. And needing more than 3 hits to kill with a 20mm is just too arcadey for me to believe it’s just gamification.
