Why the hell would they spot on top of firing? Just suppress (I wish this game had real suppressing mechanics) firing at a certain direction IS SPOTTING! Just like the ranger does!
If I could balance this game, turrets would be EASIER TO DESTROY, EXPLODE IN THIS PROCESS TO HURT ANY BORIS HIDING NEAR IT, no increased performance for staying near it ⭐ and it would not "spot". On the other hand, Boris would be allowed to place two turrets at once and the cooldown would shorter, but the cooldown would relate to a time-to-live for each turret, i.e., cooldown = 2x time to live. Time to live is about 30 s, and if over it, it self destroys ***UNLESS BORIS IS THERE TO FIX IT, and in this case, the turret can have increased performance, so that is a nice touch! The turret only have increased performance when Boris cannot fire. Maybe add a visual scanner that you can look at when Boris is repairing it, so he can see the spotting while looking at the turret and have an idea of distance and 360 position.
So a turret would never stay in one place for "turret campers"
